The emergent trend known as SocialFi has been gaining traction as of late. The newest versions reward 𝕏 users for tweets about specific crypto topics.
But a major flaw within so called 'SocialFinance', is the insufferable farming by bots that game the system with soulless content that adds no real value. We are firm believers that authentic reputations are built by on-chain evidence and peer recognition, not just keyword strategies and post volume.
The Badger+ Leaderboard Operates as a Meritocracy .
The basis of our merit-based reputation system boils down to simply having skin in the game and providing insightful content. Crazy, right? Just good old fashioned chain verification and peer recognition.
Users can only rank up by holding assets and creating content that others find worthy enough to upvote. This cultivates a more genuine climb in reputation score, with spectators able to glean and absorb information along the way.

Why this Matters?
By demonstrating an ability to hold quality projects, and bring valuable contributions to the discussion table, Badger+ users can build a more organic form of reputation.
Likewise, artists and project founders preparing for an upcoming launch can more readily identify the kind of chain-verified and socially-reputable collectors deserving of their allocations. This helps increase the odds for users of good repute to gain access to hot new mints, beta launches, and airdrops.
Reputation Tiers
To make it even easier to identify high signal collectors, our reputation system is tiered. You can find users' reputation rank on their public profile page, and you can see a more detailed breakdown on your own rank on your reputation score card. Here are the 6 tiers:

< 99 pts
Uncommon
100 - 249 pts
Rare
250 - 499 pts
Elite
500 - 749 pts
Legendary
750 - 999 pts
Mythical
1000+ pts
How to Rank Up
Since there's a financial cost basis associated to holding art and tokens, unlocked badges have a higher weighting at 50 points each. This means users with their bags packed will have a good head start on their reputation rank because they've already put their money where their mouth is.
Upvotes on the other hand, are only worth 1 point each, but there's no cap on how many people may find your content helpful, so a user with only 1 or 2 badges can eventually out-rank larger holders by providing consistent and insightful content.
These metrics reward users who have parted with their precious bitcoin in order to become early collectors and community members, while also rewarding those with smaller portfolios, who add value to the conversations around these communities.
We think this format is better aligned with real world reputation building, and is more transparent than other leaderboards that are based on keyword placement and volume.
