All About Badger+ Communities
ποΈ Engage on Stage
Community Pages are badge-gated group chats for asset holdersβpublic for viewing, private for posting. This means anyone can follow discussions, but only badged holders can contribute to them. Learn how to unlock your Badges here to join the discussion!
Communities can be filtered by asset type, so if you'd like to read up on the latest alkane alpha, or check what a specific Rune community is buzzing about, you can do it on Badger+! Or maybe you're the 'first-is-first' type and you're looking exclusively for ORDI updates...pop in to the chat! All content on community pages are authored by verified holders, so you're guaranteed to find value, even if you're not a holder yourself.

𧩠Community Page Components
Each individual Community page has 5 main components:

π Details & GM Button
At the top of the page, you'll find general information like the Community Name, Description, Socials, Asset Type, and Member Count. You'll also find a GM button that holders can click to say 'good morning' as a daily check-in. The GM counter resets every 24hrs, and the total number of daily GM's contributes to a community's trending metricsβ so the more GM's in a day, the higher the trend weighting will be that day. Top trending Communities are featured in the spotlight panel on the right side of your desktop view, or you can view this on mobile by tapping the flame icon in the lower right corner of your screen.
π Community Stats:
Each Community Page has marketplace stats and data displayed under their info section. This allows for simple at-a-glance market updates right inside the group chat. We believe market value to be a single spoke in the wheel of these growing communities and ecosystems, but its a meaningful one.
Badger+ does not discourage price talk, we enable it. But these general stats are merely meant to be a convenient reference point for relevant discussionsβ not financial advise.
Also, there is some nuance to be aware of in regards to stat tracking:
Some assets are still very new and data is limited.
Sourcing reliable market data across various nascent protocols can be complex, so available metrics for any given asset type may vary.
Badger+ Communities often include more than one collection.
Example: The Badger+ Community of Bitcoin-Puppets includes inscription IDs from the 10k collection AND the O.P.I.U.M. collection. Likewise, the OCM Community includes 5 different OCM collections. Because of this, market data may appear to be inaccurate, since we currently only display stats for the main collection of these expansive communities.
π Community Boosts
Each Community Page is able to unlock new chat features by reaching certain boost milestones. Below you can see all milestones and feature unlocks.
Pinned Posts + 2x character limit Standard post limit is 500 characters, but after 21 Boosts this doubles to 1000 characters, and allows creators/moderators to pin posts to the top of their community page.
Emoji Reactions At 42 Boosts, members can begin using emoji reactions on posts and comments to add some flair to the chat.
GIF Support When a community reaches 69 boosts, GIFs are enabled for both posts and comments, adding a sprinkle of memes into the chat.
Image Uploads After 100 boosts a community page unlocks image uploads, enabling members to share pics, screenshots, etc...as well as Day 1 access to any future feature releases.
Rocket Booster After 100 boosts, 50% of all new boost revenue goes towards buying & burning assets from that community. Keep reading for details on how that works.
How to Boost:
Clicking the "Boost Community" button, will prompt a Bitcoin invoice from OpenNode, requesting payment of 10k sats (0.0001 BTC). You can pay this via the lightning network, or a simple on-chain transaction. After the transaction is confirmed, you'll see the Boost count of the community page update its progression towards the next achievable milestone. You'll also get some user perks.

Why to Boost:
Boosting not only helps communities unlock new features, but they also provide benefits to you as a holder and community member! Your first boost unlocks the Booster Medal worth 50 reputation points, and all boosts are themselves worth 10 reputation points, so a single boost will earn you a total of 60 reputation points.
You'll also get the Booster role applied to your avatar with an orange border + rocket icon, as well as 30 days of access to the Community Analyst Dashboard. This feature allows you to view various growth metrics and engagement data specific to the community you boost, with the ability to capture dynamic snapshots & reports, and we'll add more components to this dashboard in the future. Boosts are community-specific and stackable, so if you were to submit three boosts for your favorite community, you'd get 90 days of access to that community's analytics.
π₯ Rocket Booster
Once a community reaches their 100 boosts milestone and unlocks all chat features, every boost thereafter will directly impact market dynamics as 50% of new boost revenue will be used to buy & burn collection assets.
This Rocket Booster phase creates a new level of synergy between Badger+, our users, and market participants. It allows us to generate some revenue to keep the servers humming, while users are able to improve their reputation scores & track engagement analytics, and all collectors benefit in the process due to increased scarcity of their assets.
After the 100 Boost milestone is achieved by a community, the Community Boost UI card will begin displaying burn data instead of milestone markers. You'll be able to track total buys, total burns, boost revenue accrued for the upcoming monthly buy, and the percentage of the total supply of an asset burned by Badger+ Rocket Boosters.
Boosting communities is also how you can best support Badger+. Perhaps you're not particularly interested in Engagement Analytics or reputation points, but you do enjoy using our social framework for discussions centered around Bitcoin collectiblesβ each boost you submit helps to support our efforts.
We believe this blossoming ecosystem has enough downward pressure from thousands of tokens already recycling a very limited supply of liquidity. So rather than deploying another new token into the mix, we're driving value back to well established communities, by retaining <50% of each new boost payment to help scale our infrastructure, as we sow the other 50% right back into existing Bitcoin communities and cultivate a more synergistic relationship.
π¬ Discussion Board
At the core of each community page is an infinite scroll messaging board that functions just like other social timelines with a never ending stream of posts and comments by verified holders, that anyone can read.
You can expand posts to view comments of that post, and as you continue to scroll, you'll see a sticky bar appear at the top of your screen that keeps the community stats visible and enables you to quickly jump back to the top of the page.

β Community Roles
In addition to basic community membership, each Community has 3 additional role types. These are indicated by a hierarchy of colored borders and an emoji on an avatar:
π Creator - community founder/team
π‘οΈ Moderator - creator appointed mods
π Booster - members who boost
β Basic - active users

The Creator Toolkit allows Creators and the moderators they designate to pin posts and remove content in order to keep important messages prominent and protect the integrity of their community page.
Boosters can unlock a medal worth 50 points for the first community they boost, and have their boost history displayed on their public profile page, while enjoying 30 days of access to the Analytics Dashboard.
