Q: How much does Badger+ cost? Badger+ is free! You don't even need an account to read posts and threads, but just a simple sign-in allows you to post, unlock Badges, earn Medals, and build reputation on day one with zero fees. If you'd like to dig deeper, you can boost communities (10k sats) to get 30 days of access to our engagement analytics tooling. Or you can manage your own community, by accessing our Creator Toolkit priced at just 0.002 BTC/yr. Comparatively, holder verification for Bitcoin assets with Matrica+Discord is more than 3 times the Badger+ fee, and we provide you with an advanced analytics dashboard.
Q: Which wallets are supported? We use SatsConnect for official support of Xverse and MagicEden, while LaserEyes supports Unisat, OKX, Leather, and Oyl. We'll also be adding support for most major Solana and Ethereum wallets in the near future. For the best experience with ordinals and runes, we suggest using Xverse & MagicEden wallets. Unisat is optimal for BRC-20, and also supports Alkanes, while OYL wallet is purpose built for Alkanes.
Q: How often are holdings verified? Holdings are automatically refreshed every 12 hours, or anytime you add a new wallet. You can also manually refresh your badges once every 12 hours from inside your Settings page.
Q: What about projects with multiple assets? Some communities consist of numerous art collections by an artist or team, so rather than collection-specific indexing, Badger+ communities are inclusive of a project's full ecosystem. For instance— the Onchain Monkey community in Badger+ includes Inscription IDs from 5 different collections (OCM Genesis, Dimensions, & Celestials, as well as Katoshi Prime, & Classic), as each of these collections make up the body of the broader OCM community. Similarly, our Bitcoin Puppets community includes the 10k collection as well as O.P.I.U.M. Where things get tricky is with offshoots and memes which are more dynamic and distinction may be necessary. An example would be PUPS•WORLD•PEACE and GIZMO•IMAGINARY•KITTEN which are both part of the Bitcoin Puppet lore, but each gets their own individual community badge in order to distinguish between original works from an artist (in this case: LeFou) and derivative releases put forth by a community.
Q: Will there be a Badger+ Token? It's become normalized for platforms in the crypto space to launch their own tokens integrated into the ecosystems they're building. But many of these offer no substantive value, &/or are deployed hastily. We believe traction and revenue should be precursors to a platform token, not a by-product, so Badger+ is operating on the first principle of providing value to active communities and creators. Our goal is not to seize the spotlight, but rather to increase the wattage of the spotlight shining on this emergent Bitcoin culture. Nevertheless, our gamified components and services are designed to facilitate targeted airdrops to curated lists of collectors and contributors. We hope these tools will be used by new projects launching mints and airdrops so that our users become beneficiaries, but it's also a tool we will use ourselves in the future, as we look to create and distribute immutable artworks to our dedicated users.
Q: Is my wallet safe when connecting? Yes—signing a nonce doesn't expose keys. We use ECDSA/Schnorr verification, with zero transactions broadcasted, via open-source tooling from SatsConnect and LaserEyes.
Q: Can I use multiple wallets? Yes, you can connect multiple wallets to your account to verify holdings across different addresses.
Q: What happens if I sell an asset? Your badges are updated during the next verification cycle. If you no longer hold an asset, you'll lose access to that community until you acquire it again.
Q: What about wallet privacy? None of your token balances or NFT traits are displayed anywhere in Badger+ to prevent wallet tracing. The only publicly viewable address is your Public Profile Address, which doesn't require connecting - simply paste your preferred public address here so others can see it on your profile page and send you airdrops or add you to their mint lists.
Q: How do I post in Community Pages? Community Pages are automatically available to you based on your holdings. You'll receive a community badge for supported collections you own, which grants post access for those Communities. Anyone can read Community Pages, but only badge holders can post.
Q: How do I post in Threads? All signed-in users have access to post & comment in Threads. You don't need to connect a wallet for asset verification— just sign in with your X account and you'll have access to post in Threads.
Q: How does Reputation Scoring work? We've designed a complex scoring system that weighs badges, medals, post counts, upvotes received, and any communities you boost. For more granular details about our scoring system, read the Reputation docs.
Q: Can I hide my Badges? Our Badges are designed to provide on-chain proofs for online claims. Anyone can have opinions about a meme or art collection, but the opinions made by those with actual skin in the game means so much more. So the public facing nature of your badges is a feature, not a bug. And since Badges are generic collection images, there's no risk of wallet tracing by NFT trait. We may consider adding a toggle to hide badges if the majority of users request that feature, but until then they'll remain public.
Q: Are connected wallets public? No. Any wallets you connect for badge verification are only visible to you inside your settings page. You can add a Social Address to your public profile if you'd like, which allows others who appreciate your content, to add your address to their upcoming airdrops and mint lists.
Q: How do I create a Community? You can create your own Community on our Creator page where you'll submit details like community name, slug, image, etc. You'll then be prompted to pay a fee of 0.002 BTC, after which you can upload a CSV of your inscription IDs. Your holders will receive badges and you'll have access to your creator dashboard for a full year.
Q: What sort of tooling does Badger+ offer Bitcoin Creators? Badger+ provides artists and project founders with on-chain holder verification, your own token-gated chat room, and a comprehensive analytics dashboard that includes content performance, growth metrics, top contributors, heat maps, exports, and more.
Q: What if my collection has multiple editions? You can update your inscription ID list in Creator settings. For most projects, inscription uploads will be a one-time deal during initial setup, but for those with rolling editions or volumes, you can always update your lists so holders of your various collections can get their badges.
Q: How soon will my community go live? When you create a new community, you'll get immediate access to your dashboard where you can upload your CSV file which is then staged for review. After successful verification, your community page will be live within 24-48hrs (typically just a few hours) and you can enjoy watching the growth metrics as your collectors begin to engage.
Q: Can I claim an existing Community? When we launched, we generated Community Pages for a few dozen of the most popular projects. These communities have largely solidified their foundations in turbulent times to become staples of Bitcoin culture, (either that or they were new and buzz-worthy during our build phase). If you're a founder of any of these projects, reach out! We'll give you free access to your community's dashboard after verifying your X identity.
